Hanzla Adnan dead in Pak’s Karachi

Hanzla Adnan considered a deputy of 26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed, was shot outside his Karachi residence on December 2-3 night. His body indicated four bullet wounds before the fatally injured Adnan was secretly transported to an army medical facility where he succumbed this Monday.

As per the BSF, Adnan orchestrated the 2015 assault on a BSF convoy in J&K's Udhampur which killed two soldiers. He also coordinated the 2016 attack on a CRPF contingent in Pampore leaving 8 personnel dead.

The National Investigation Agency was probing the Udhampur incident and filed charges against Adnan earlier who shifted base to Karachi from his Rawalpindi hideout lately.

Why was Adnan residing in Pakistan?

According to the sources, the LeT terrorist was sent to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir camps for nurturing recruits to infiltrate India and conduct strikes aided by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). His sudden death follows pro-Khalistan group leader Lakhbir Singh Rode's demise last week from a purported heart attack.

The Khalistani terrorist was involved in terrorist activities against India in Punjab at the behest of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI, sources said.
