UK oil tanker collision (X/@FlashFeed365)
There was a serious sea tragedy off the coast of eastern England on Monday after an oil tanker crashed into a cargo ship. In reaction, Britain's UK coastguard launched a massive rescue operation, deploying dozens of lifeboats and a search-and-rescue helicopter to the scene. Firefighter vessels and an air coastguard truck have been deployed to help calm the scene.
The BBC news reported that the accident resulted in a fire on the oil tanker MV Stena Immaculate. The ship is America-flagged and is specializing in chemical and petroleum product shipping. Ship-tracking website Vessel Finder reported that the tanker was docked during the incident.

At least four lifeboats were sent to the scene of the collision i the North Sea, according to the RNLI.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency is confirmed to have made an emergency alert at 9:48 AM GMT. The accident took place off the town of Hull, approximately 155 miles (250 kilometers) north of London. The reason behind the accident is still to be determined by the authorities, although initial signs indicate weather and navigation errors.
Following the crash, coastguard rescue crews reacted quickly to the accident. The UK Coastguard made sure that it closely keeps track of the situation while conducting a comprehensive search-and-rescue operation to protect the lives of everyone on board.
