Soon after the United States Presidential debate, CNN said that democrats are now figuring out how to replace the US President Joe Biden before the election.

The statement from the panel CNN has come while analysing the debate that went on between the two prominent leaders before the upcoming elections.

Here’s what the experts say:

Even some of the conversations included that they should go to the White House and ask the president to step aside.

Meanwhile, it is important to approach such claims with critical thinking and consider the context. News coverage, especially in the immediate aftermath of events like debates, can sometimes exaggerate or speculate based on limited information. While media outlets may discuss various political scenarios, the decision to replace a sitting president before an election would be highly unusual and would involve complex legal and political processes.

Biden vs Trump

It's also critical to remember that President Joe Biden announced his candidacy for re-election in April 2023, framing the race against Trump as a ‘stark choice’ that would either keep American democracy intact or risk its ‘destruction’ under Trump. In contrast, Trump announced his intention to run for president in November 2022.

At the end of his second term, Biden would be 86 years old, making him the oldest president to have held office.

Voters are considerably more concerned about Biden's age than his opponent, according to polls. However, if Trump prevails, he will surpass Biden as the oldest president before the end of his tenure.
