Elon Musk has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed his anticipation for engaging in "exciting work" in India. The statement from the Tesla and X owner came after Narendra Modi was elected as the Prime Minister of India for the third term.

Taking it to his X handle on Friday, Musk wrote, “Congratulations Narendra Modi on your victory in the world's largest democratic elections! Looking forward to my companies doing exciting work in India.”

This statement likely points towards Musk's growing interest and potential investments in the Indian market, particularly in sectors such as electric vehicles, renewable energy, and space technology. Musk's companies, including Tesla and SpaceX, have shown increasing interest in expanding their footprint in India, aligning with the Indian government's focus on sustainable development and technological advancement.

Musk who was scheduled to visit India to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in April, delayed his plans in the last minute due to some prior work obligations. He also mentioned that he looks forward to visiting India this year, Musk said then.

Notably, Musk was expected to close some major automobile plans for the country going forward, while India also launched its new EV policy.
