A fire erupted in a Kuwaiti building on Wednesday, claiming the lives of 49 individuals, with 40 of them being Indian nationals. The six-storeyed structure was engulfed in flames and dense smoke, resulting in the tragic loss of numerous lives. In response to the tragedy, PM Modi chaired a high-level meeting, announcing financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each from the PM Relief Fund for the families of the deceased.
