Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson (X/TuckerCarlson)
Elon Musk-Tucker Carlson interview: In a candid and unscripted conversation with Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk didn't hesitate to plunge into the politics and the upcoming 2024 election. Musk, known for his often controversial takes, delved deep into various topics, including a deleted tweet about Vice President Kamala Harris and the broader state of American politics.
Breaking his silence on a deleted tweet about Kamala Harris, Musk offered a blunt explanation for his remarks. He claimed that no one would bother to target Harris, implying that she holds little sway in the grander scheme of things. "Nobody tries to assassinate a puppet," Musk said, referencing Harris as a mere figurehead in the political machine.
"She's safe," Musk continued. "They’ve attempted to assassinate Trump twice with real guns and bullets." His comments carried a clear contrast between Harris and Trump, suggesting that the latter poses more of a threat to the establishment due to his political independence.
The conversation soon turned to Donald Trump, with Musk marveling at the former president’s resilience. Despite what Musk described as unhealthy habits, like indulging in "cheeseburgers and Diet Coke," Trump, in Musk's view, possesses a strong physical and mental constitution. "I think he [Trump] just inherently has a strong constitution," Musk stated, adding that Trump is of “sound mind and body” and has endured two assassination attempts.
Musk admitted that throwing his weight behind Trump has been "pretty fun," although he recognized the potential risks of such a stance. The CEO joked that if Trump were to lose the election, there could be repercussions for him. "In the hopefully unlikely event that he loses, there may be some vengeance on me," Musk mused.
These comments followed Musk’s earlier criticism of Kamala Harris, during which he mocked her reliance on a teleprompter. He was particularly impressed by Trump’s ability to deliver speeches without one, calling it "amazing."

Musk didn’t stop there. He pivoted to a startling claim, stating that illegal immigration has surged by 700% in key swing states over the last three years. Musk argued that this influx could significantly alter the outcome of future elections, describing 2024 as "the last election" if Democrats were to win.
According to Musk, the process of granting asylum fast-tracks individuals toward citizenship, enabling them to vote within a relatively short period. "These swing state margins are sometimes 10, 20 thousand votes," Musk pointed out. "So what happens if you put hundreds of thousands of people into each swing state?"
Musk suggested that this shift in voter demographics would create a permanent Democratic supermajority by 2028, effectively turning every swing state blue. His grim prediction painted a future where Republican influence would be diminished beyond recovery.
In a move few in his position would dare, Musk tackled the controversial issue of election fraud and the absence of voter ID requirements. Without hesitation, he claimed, "The purpose of no voter ID is obviously to conduct fraud in elections."
Musk highlighted what he saw as hypocrisy in the political system, pointing out that the same people who pushed for vaccine IDs during the pandemic are now opposing voter IDs. According to him, the lack of such identification makes it "literally impossible" to detect fraud, allowing what he described as "large-scale manipulation."
"The purpose of no voter ID is obviously to conduct fraud in elections," Musk reiterated, adding, "There can be no other explanation."
In an era where discussions about election integrity remain divisive, Musk’s statements are sure to stir debate. As the 2024 election approaches, his candid remarks and pointed critiques are bound to echo through political conversations across the country.
