In the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, Jordan has recalled its ambassador from Israel. This decision was made by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, who summoned the Jordanian ambassador back to Jordan.

Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates shared a post on microblogging platform X, "Today, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs @AymanHsafadi decided to summon the Jordanian ambassador to Israel to Jordan immediately, and Al-Safadi directed the relevant department to inform the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs not to return its ambassador who had previously left the Kingdom, as an expression of the position of Jordan".

Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia criticize Israel's action

Recent developments in the region were heavily criticized by Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia against Israel's strikes in Jabaliya, a northern area in the Gaza Strip. While the exact casualty figures remain unknown, Hamas claimed that around 50 Palestinians lost their lives in these attacks.

IDF's attacks on Jabalya refugee camp

The condemnation came after the strike by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which claimed that it had killed the commander of Hamas's Central Jabaliya Battalion, Ibrahim Biari, who was in the Jabalya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. Egypt strongly criticized these airstrikes, calling them inhumane and blatant violations of international law. Egypt also warned of the dire consequences of indiscriminate attacks on civilians, especially around hospitals, where people seek refuge. Egypt called for international intervention to halt Israeli attacks and provide humanitarian aid to Gaza's residents.
