The residents of the city of Tel Aviv in Israel held a demonstration urging the Israeli government to hold talks with Hamas and exchange hostages/prisoners with the militant group.The demonstrators have asked the Netanyahu government to hold talks with Hamas and ensure the release of women and children who are held hostage. To do everything they can to exchange prisoners…,” says Dafna, a local protesting in Tel Aviv said.The fate of an estimated 150 people abducted and taken to the Gaza Strip during the attack by Hamas is still unclear, the report said. Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the military has so far notified families of 97 hostages who were being held by terrorists in the Gaza Strip, according to media reports.Israel-Hamas conflictIsrael and Hamas have been at war since Saturday when the Palestinian militant group fired rockets towards Israel in a surprise attack. Since the launch of this attack, the death toll in Israel has jumped to 1,300 and some 3300 have been injured, including 28 in critical condition and 350 in serious condition, according to media reports.Moreover, Israels counterattacks at Gaza have left more than 1,500 individuals dead as a humanitarian crisis overtakes the densely populated region.
