Israeli enters into Syria: Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have reportedly crossed the Syrian border from the Golan Heights, advancing toward the village of Kwdana with armored vehicles. The incursion, which began earlier this evening, saw Israeli troops push approximately 500 meters into Syrian territory.

Airstrike kills 13 in Damascus, video surfaces

In a separate incident on Tuesday evening, an airstrike in Damascus claimed the lives of 13 people. Syrian officials have pointed fingers at Israel for the deadly attack. While Israel has not claimed responsibility for every strike, it has acknowledged carrying out hundreds of raids on targets in Syria in recent years.

Why has this gone largely unnoticed?

As Israel’s military campaign intensifies across multiple fronts—targeting Gaza, Lebanon, the occupied West Bank, and Yemen—its actions in Syria have garnered relatively little attention. Syria, an ally of Iran and part of the so-called “axis of resistance,” has remained notably silent since Israel's war on Gaza began in October last year. Despite this, Israel has conducted several attacks on Syrian soil over the past year.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Syria, while less publicized, remains a critical element of the broader regional tensions that continue to escalate across the Middle East.
