Israeli airstrike claims Hezbollah Commander Ayoub Near Selaa in Southern Lebanon

A drone strike targeted an SUV at a junction in the town of Selaa by midday on Monday, resulting in the tragic death of one civilian. Ambulances swiftly responded to the scene, transporting the critically injured individual who later succumbed to her wounds. Israeli Army Radio reported that the incident claimed the life of Mohammad Mustafa Ayoub, identified as a Hezbollah member, in an attack in southern Lebanon. Al-Arabiya TV also confirmed Ayoub's death in the car raid in Selaa.

Israeli Army conducted heavy bombardments

In further escalation, the Israeli Army conducted heavy bombardments on the outskirts of Kfar Hamam, Rachaya al-Foukhar, the Marjayoun plain, the Hura area near Kfar Kila, and Mays al-Jabal. Hostile artillery shelling intensified in the area between Al-Jabin and Yarine, with reports of a drone breaching airspace over Bint Jbeil, intercepted by machine gun fire after dropping a small bomb causing no damage.

When it happened? 

Earlier on Eid al-Adha morning, despite an "unannounced truce" allowing residents to return briefly, the Israeli army targeted Dhayra town, firing shots that prompted evacuations of those checking on their homes. Simultaneously, artillery shells struck a house in Kfar Kila.
