In a significant development amid ongoing conflict, Israel reports that its air defense systems intercepted more than 97% of Hezbollah's rocket attacks overnight. Preliminary estimates reveal that a total of 115 rockets and missiles were launched by Hezbollah into Israeli airspace, with Israeli defense forces successfully neutralizing all but three.

Precision in air defense

Israel's Iron Dome and other advanced air defense systems have once again demonstrated their effectiveness in protecting civilian areas from hostile fire. The interception rate—over 97%—highlights the system’s precision in preventing potential casualties and damage. Despite the successful defense, a small number of projectiles did breach Israeli airspace, prompting immediate concern and further defensive actions.

Retaliatory strikes on Southern Lebanon

In response to Hezbollah's rocket fire, Israel carried out extensive retaliatory strikes targeting the group's infrastructure in southern Lebanon. Israeli military sources report that over 400 Hezbollah launchers have been destroyed in these operations. The strikes aim to dismantle Hezbollah’s ability to carry out further attacks and reduce the threat to Israeli civilians.

The situation continues to escalate, with both sides locked in an ongoing exchange of fire. Israeli officials stress that their military actions are focused on neutralising Hezbollah’s operational capabilities while maintaining the highest possible interception rates to protect the nation from incoming threats.

Tensions remain high

As tensions remain high, Israel's defense forces are on heightened alert, prepared for additional strikes or escalations from Hezbollah. The international community closely monitors the situation, hoping for a de-escalation to prevent further violence in the region.
