The 'All Eyes On Rafah' campaign has been shared by celebrities, athletes, and millions of other social media users worldwide to draw attention to Israel's airstrikes in Rafah, a southern city in the war-torn Gaza Strip. An Israeli airstrike on Sunday, intended to destroy Hamas claimed the lives of at least forty-five civilians, including children, at a Rafah refugee camp. International indignation over the episode has increased Israel's isolation on the world stage as a result of the Gaza War.

Israel fights back!

Israel has responded to the social media posts of 'All eyes on Rafah,' by posting an image of its own and requesting that individuals explain why they did not post about the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas. In Israel, the October 7 incident claimed the lives of over 1,160 individuals, the majority of whom were civilians. About 250 hostages were also taken by the terrorists; however, following a week-long truce in November, many of them were freed. Israel estimates that of the hostages held by terrorists, 99 are still alive and 31 have passed away.

Casualties double down

The health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza reports that at least 31,112 Palestinians have died as a result of Israel's military campaign of retaliation to destroy Hamas. Israel denied targeting the Rafah camp amid strong criticism, claiming that the damage was caused by a secondary fire that resulted from a rocket striking a Hamas weapons complex. The administration of Benjamin Netanyahu posted a photo along with the caption, "Where were your eyes on October 7?" on X, a platform that was originally Twitter. A terrorist from Hamas is shown in the picture standing in front of a child.

Rafah  and the condition

Hours after around 45 million people shared the "All Eyes On Rafah" photo on Instagram, the reaction was received. The image alludes to the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who fled there during Israel's military assault against Hamas, showing unending rows of tents packed closely together across a desert landscape shaded by mountains. The "All Eyes On Rafah" picture was shared by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Varun Dhawan, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, among other Indian celebrities.
