In retaliation for Iran, Israel launched missile strikes against Tehran early on Friday morning (local time), according to an ABC News report quoting a senior US official.
However, the authorities were unable to verify if locations in Syria and Iraq were also affected, though. The news was released soon after explosions were reported in the Central Iranian region of Isfahan by local sources.

Israel air defence systems were activated soon after several explosions were heard in multiple areas near the airport and an army installation in the Iranian city of Isfahan, official television announced early on Friday.
The attack from Israeli military authorities has come after Iran conducted an offensive on sites near Israel on Saturday of last week, during which it unleashed a barrage of over 300 unmanned drones.
Meanwhile, the reports have also claimed that the Syrian Army’s locations in the southern Syrian governorates of As-Suwayda and Daraa were also the target of attacks. Reportedly, the attacks targeted Syrian military radar sites between Qarda and Izraa in Daraa, southern Syria.
It is worth noting that Iran launched its attack over six months after terrorists from Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 and the Israeli military started bombarding the Gaza Strip.
