Israel-Iran war: Hezbollah launches missiles, drones; 14 soldiers, 4 civilians injured

At least 14 soldiers and four civilians were injured in an explosive drone fired in Lebanon near the Israeli border, according to the Israeli military and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, which claimed responsiblity for the attack. 
Israel and Hamas ally Hezbollah have been exchanging near-daily cross border fire since the Palestinian group attacked southern Israel on October 7, triggering war in the Gaza Strip. 

Israel attacking on Iran

After Iran's attack, Israel has now started taking its revenge. Israel also killed two commanders of Hezbollah, an armed group created by Iran, in a targeted attack in Lebanon on Tuesday night. Among those killed was Ismail Yusuf Baz, a top Hezbollah commander who planned missile attacks against Israel. 

The IDF claimed that one of its planes struck Ismail Youssef on Tuesday in Lebanon's An Abel area, located 7 kilometers from the Israeli border. Ismail was involved in planning rocket and anti-tank missile attacks on Israel from within Lebanon, the IDF spokesman said. During the war he planned several terrorist attacks against Israel.

IDF killed commander

The IDF also killed Muhammad Mustafa, commander of Hezbollah's rocket and missile unit. In a separate statement, the IDF said Hezbollah commander Mohammed Hussein Mustafa Shechouri was killed in an airstrike in the Kfar Dounin area. Mohammed was responsible for planning missile attacks on Israel from central Lebanon. Ibrahim Fadel-Allah, a terrorist from Hezbollah's rocket and missile unit, was also killed during the attack. Hezbollah has not yet commented on the death of its commanders in the IDF attack. Israel's latest action comes after Iran's attack in which the Iranian army fired more than 300 missiles and killer drones at it. Even before this, Israel has targeted many commanders of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

There was heavy firing between Israel and Hezbollah on Tuesday. The Iran-backed extremist group had launched explosive-laden drones over Israel. Local reports indicate that three people were injured in the attacks. Hezbollah claimed that it targeted Israel's Iron Dome defenses in Beit Hillel. The extremist group claimed to have killed several Israeli soldiers in the attack.
