Amid ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, World Bank president Ajay Banga on Tuesday made a big statement, claiming that the Israel-Hamas war could prove to be a serious blow to the global economy and its development.

Banga said that the world is at a "very dangerous juncture". He made the statement while addressing an investor conference in Saudi Arabia.

According to the sources, while addressing the event, he said, “There is so much going on in the world and geopolitics in the wars that you're seeing and what just happened recently in Israel and Gaza. At the end of the day, when you put all this together, I think the impact on economic development is even more serious.”
