Israel-Hamas conflict: Amid the ongoing conflict, the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza, on Saturday, said that at least 22,722 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the war broke out between Israel and the terror groups on October 7.

However, the Hamas figure didn’t differentiate between civilians and combatants. It includes Palestinians killed by rocket fire from within Gaza. On the other hand, Israel says it has killed 8,500 terrorists since the inception of the war.

Moreover, Israel also said that it is making an effort to avoid harm to civilians while fighting the terror group embedded within the civilian population. Israel has long accused Gaza-based terror groups of using Palestinians in the Strip as human shields to protect themselves from Israeli attack. Allegedly, Hamas is operating from sites, which include schools and hospitals.
