Israel-Hamas Conflict: The United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken held a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday. Both sides repeated the need to work together to prevent the chaotic Israel-Hamas war.

The secretary talked about "US diplomatic efforts in the region and his recent travel in the Middle East," according to the US State Department. The Secretary emphasised how important it is for all sides to cooperate to stop the crisis from getting worse.

Secretary Antony Blinken also highlighted that the recent Houthi attacks in the Red Sea on commercial vessels represent an "unacceptable threat to maritime security and international law that all nations have an obligation to uphold."

What is China's stance in Israel-Hamas Conflict? 

On the other hand, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasised the need for a cease-fire and the termination of the war. Chinese Foreign Minister said, "The top priority is to cease fire and end the war as soon as possible."

According to a media release of foreign minister said, "Major countries must adhere to fairness and justice, uphold objectivity and impartiality, demonstrate calm and rationality, and make every effort to cool down the situation and prevent larger-scale humanitarian disasters."

Furthermore, the United States and China emphasised the significance of advancing the major issues discussed during the November summit in Woodside, California, between US President Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

Latest update of Israel-Hamas Conflict

As per the most recent update, some of the hostages' lives are in urgent danger, according to a letter from the Hostages and Missing Persons Families Forum to the war cabinet, as published by The Times of Israel.

Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other members of the war cabinet met with recently freed hostages and relatives of those who are still being held in Gaza.
