All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to show solidarity with the war-affected people of Gaza and provide help to them amid the Insrael-Hamas conflict that has killed thousands.

Netanyahu is a devil a tyrant and a war criminal: Owaisi

During a public meeting, the Hyderabad MP said, “I stand and will continue to stand with Palestine. Millions of salutes to the brave men of Gaza who are still fighting today! Netanyahu is a devil a tyrant and a war criminal! A Baba Chief Minister in our country said that cases will be booked against those who take the name of Palestine, so listen Baba Chief Minister, I am proudly wearing the flag of Palestine and our Tricolour too. I stand with Palestine”.

Asaduddin Owaisi added, “I would like to appeal to the Prime Minister to stop the atrocities being committed against the Palestinians. Palestine is not just a matter for Muslims; it is a humanitarian issue”.

Congress supports ‘Palestinian rights’

Earlier, the opposition party Indian National Congress(INC) had expressed its support for ‘Palestinian rights’, condemning Israel’s attacks on innocent people of Gaza.

The Congress Working Committee(CWC) called for an ‘immediate cease-fire’ between the Israeli forces and the Hamas militant group on Monday. The CWC said that it has long-standing support ‘for the rights of the Palestinian people to land, self-government and to live with dignity and respect’.

On October 7, Hamas launched a series of attacks on Israel, killing hundreds of its citizens, in the biggest escalation in the conflict. The attack has left more than 1,300 people dead in Israel. In response, Israel started counter airstrikes to eliminate the Hamas and the airstrikes have killed more than 2,200 people in Gaza, so far. Israel has claimed 1,500 Hamas militants were killed inside the border of Israel.
