Iran Pakistan Conflict: Unidentified armed men in Iran's Sistan-Baluchistan province on Saturday killed nine Pakistani nationals. According to Iranian media reports, gunmen killed them in a residential area near Saravan city. Following the incident, the neighboring countries have sought to ease tensions after deadly cross-border fire. The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and no group has claimed responsibility.

Iran's media reported that "according to witnesses, this morning unknown armed men killed nine non-Iranians in a house in the Sirkan neighborhood of Saravan city."

Pakistan's ambassador identified them as Pakistanis

Pakistan's ambassador to Iran expressed deep sorrow and pledged full support to the families of the victims. He urged Iranian authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and bring those responsible to justice.

Pakistani foreign ministry officials supported the Ambassador's sentiments, strongly condemning the attack and calling for an investigation. They emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries to ensure such tragedies are prevented in the future.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Jalil Abbas Jilani said, "Saddened over the death of Pakistanis in Iran in a terrorist attack. This heinous attack is an attempt to spoil relations between Pakistan and Iran by our common enemies. While offering condolences to the families of victims, urge the Iranian govt for action."

This shocking incident comes amidst recent efforts to ease tensions between Iran and Pakistan. Earlier this month, both nations agreed to de-escalate after a series of cross-border military actions that caused casualties on both sides. The two countries resumed diplomatic missions, highlighting their commitment to fostering friendly relations and strengthening border security.

Iranian authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and officials from both countries are in close contact to ensure its thoroughness and transparency.
