According to the latest reports, eight people have already died while attempting to enter the US illegally from Canada, according to Canadian police, who also found the bodies of two additional migrants, including an Indian woman who drowned in a river. The victims were discovered on Friday in a marsh by a riverbank not far from Akwesasne, a town that lies on the border of three states, Quebec, Ontario, and New York. There is still one more person missing. The source stated that one infant, a Canadian citizen of Romanian heritage, was among the two other bodies found. Police also revealed that so-called crossing agents was wanted in the case and charged the victims Rs 60 lakh to Rs 65 lakh per person for illegal immigration. The Gujarat CID has registered a case for the offence of filing bogus documents with the illegal immigration case.
