An Indian-origin psychiatrist in London has been sentenced to six years of imprisonment by a UK court for his role in running a dark web child abuse site. Indian-origin Kabir Garg sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment by UK courtAccording to media reports, the 33-year-old psychiatrist, named Dr Kabir Garg, hailing from Lewisham in South-eastern London was identified by UKs National Crime Agency (NCA) as one of the operators of the dark net website – The Annex. The website had more than 90,000 members worldwide.Garg, who has been sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court, is on the Sex Offenders Register for life. Thats not it, the London-based psychiatrist was also charged with other allegations including facilitating the sexual exploitation of children, three counts each of making and distributing indecent images of children, and possession of prohibited images, to which he had pleaded guilty in January this year. Official statements by UKs NCAIn an official statement, NCAs Adam Priestley said, “Garg was involved in facilitating child sexual abuse on a significant scale.
