Narendra Modi in Poland (ANI)
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently visiting Poland and Ukraine. He believes that war is not the answer to any problem. Instead, talking and negotiating peacefully can resolve international conflicts. He mentioned the ongoing wars in Ukraine and West Asia as examples. Modi urged countries to negotiate peacefully rather than resort to violence.
"The conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia are concerning," Modi said. "India believes no problem can be solved in battlefield, we support dialogue and diplomacy." He made this statement alongside Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to Poland for its help in evacuating Indian students who were stranded during the Ukraine-Russia war in 2022. He acknowledged Poland's support, saying, "I want to thank the government and the people of Poland for this." PM Modi further emphasized the significance of Poland's assistance, stating, "People of India can never forget the help you have extended in rescuing Indian students during the Ukraine conflict in 2022." He made these remarks during his address, highlighting the appreciation for Poland's humanitarian efforts.
Narendra Modi thanked Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk for the warm welcome he received in Warsaw. "I want to thank PM Tusk for giving me a warm welcome in the beautiful city of Warsaw," he said. PM Modi also acknowledged PM Tusk's long-standing friendship with India, saying, "You have been a friend of India for a long time and you have made significant contributions to strengthening the relationship between India and Poland." He expressed his gratitude during his address, appreciating PM Tusk's efforts in fostering a strong bond between the two nations.
Narendra Modi arrived in Poland on Wednesday for an official visit. He will next travel to Ukraine on August 23 for important talks. This visit to Poland is significant because no Indian Prime Minister has visited the country in 45 years. The visit also celebrates 70 years of diplomatic relations between India and Poland.
