As the war in Israel intensifies, Nobel Prize winner MalalaYousafzai has expressed her grief over the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza. The war started on Saturday after the terrorist group Hamas fired thousands of rockets towards Israel, killing more than 3000 people on both sides of the Gaza Strip.

Malala took to social media platforms and called for an immediate ceasefire adding that children are the ones who are affected the most in these conflicts. “As I have processed the tragic news of the past days, I think of the Palestinian and Israeli children caught in the middle,” the Nobel laureate wrote on ‘X’.

She further wrote “War never spares children – not those kidnapped from their homes in Israel, not those hiding from airstrikes or without food and water in Gaza. Today, I am grieving for all the children and people longing for peace and justice in the Holy Land.”

We woke up to the sounds of mortar shells, saw our schools and mosques destroyed by bombs. Peace became something we could only dream about,” the 26-year-old activist added.

According to media reports, at least 40 babies and children have been killed by the terrorist group Hamas so far with some of them decapitated. The Israeli officials who arrived on the scene were horrified to see the sight. The grim details were shared by Israeli forces and distraught correspondents on the ground
