New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Bangladesh, hundreds of Bangladeshi nationals attempted to cross the India-Bangladesh border to seek refuge in India. However, the Border Security Forces (BSF) successfully prevented any unauthorized entries. On Thursday, over 500 individuals gathered at the Manikganj border in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, prompting BSF personnel to fire warning shots to disperse the crowd. The increased border security measures come in response to the recent violent student protests and the ousting of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, which have led to heightened political instability in Bangladesh.
