A 28-year-old man, identified as Yuvraj Goyal, was fatally shot in Surrey, Canada. Officials have named four suspects: Manvir Basram (23), Sahib Basra (20), Harkirat Jhutty (23), all from Surrey, and Keilon Francois (20) from Ontario. They will face charges of first-degree murder.

Goyal on student visa

Goyal arrived in the country on a student visa in 2019 and had no criminal record, as per Canadian police. The motive behind his targeted murder is under investigation.

Worked as sales executive

Recently granted Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) status, Goyal worked as a sales executive. His mother, Shakun Goyal, a homemaker, and father Rajesh Goyal, a firewood business owner, expressed shock, insisting their son had no enemies. Shakun recalls speaking to him just before the incident, recounting his routine return from the gym.

Graduated from Delhi university

Goyal, a Delhi University B.Com (Honors) graduate, pursued a master's in finance in Canada after two years of work in India. Employed at Canada's Basant Motors, his family suspects mistaken identity in his tragic death. Dr. Ranjana Sood, a relative, emphasizes the need for a thorough investigation.

Mother demands justice

Shakun, grief-stricken, demands answers from the Canadian government, questioning the senseless loss of her son and urging accountability for his untimely demise. The Canadian government must answer why he met this fate. How can someone brazenly kill an innocent man? Why was he targeted? Victim's mother also claimed that her son had never had a minor clash with anyone since he went to Canada in 2019.
