New Delhi: On Wednesday afternoon, an Air Dynasty helicopter crashed in the Shivpuri area of Nuwakot district, Nepal, confirmed local authorities. The helicopter, which had departed from Kathmandu, was en route to Syaphrubensi. According to local media, the chopper had five people on board, including four Chinese nationals and the pilot.

Flight details and loss of contact

Sources at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) reported that the helicopter took off from Kathmandu at 1:54 pm. However, contact was lost just three minutes later, at around 1:57 pm, after the chopper reached Surya Chaur. The abrupt loss of communication signaled the beginning of a tragic event.

Rescue operations were promptly initiated at the crash site, which was engulfed in flames. Despite the swift response, news agencies confirmed the grim outcome: all five individuals on board, including the pilot, perished in the crash.

The Chinese nationals on the helicopter were reportedly traveling to Rasuwa. Their journey, meant to be a short flight, ended in a devastating accident.
