The list in general is a yearly list of the richest billionaires in the world, based on their recorded net worth. Forbes Magazine creates and publishes its list every March. The ranking’s first edition came out in 1987, and ever since, it hasn’t lost popularity.

The stated assets of each person are used to estimate their net worth after taking debt and other factors into account. The ranking included each person’s entire net worth in US dollars. These lists do not include monarchs or autocrats whose wealth is the result of their position or inheritance.
