25-year-old photojournalist Fatima Hasouna, who had been showing every scene of the war in Gaza with her camera for one and a half years, died in an airstrike. Along with Fatima, 10 of her relatives also died in this attack.

Despite the constant dangers in Gaza, Fatima recorded everything that was happening there on her camera and remained committed to telling the world Ghazi's story. Fatima knew that death was always near, yet she did not hold back from bringing pictures of Gaza to the world.

What kind of death did Fatima want?
Fatima once wrote on social media, "If I die, I want a glorious death. I don't want to be just breaking news or a number in a group. I want a death that the world can hear, an impact that lasts through time and an image that cannot be buried by time or space."

She had only expressed such a wish, but this wish took a very painful form when an Israeli airstrike took place on her house in northern Gaza. Fatima was also going to get married in a few days. Fatima and ten members of her family, including her pregnant sister, were killed in this airstrike.

The premiere of the film based on Fatima's life was about to happen
Regarding this attack, the Israeli army said that a Hamas member involved in attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians was targeted in the attack. 24 hours before Fatima's death, an announcement was made that a film about Fatima Hasouna's life in Gaza during the Israeli attack would premiere at a French independent film festival held alongside Cannes.

Israel–Gaza war
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, more than 51,000 people have been killed since the conflict began after the October 7 attack. Most of the victims are women and children. Israel has again intensified air strikes after the ceasefire broke down in March, including the attack on Friday. At least 30 people are reported to have been killed in this attack..
