Protesters, driven by weeks of deadly anti-quota demonstrations, ransacked the palace, taking everything from furniture and clothing to personal belongings and animals, including Hasinas cherished pet cat.Stolen, Sold, and RecoveredAmid the chaos, the cat and a German Shepherd, both belonging to Sheikh Hasina, were among the stolen items. According to Obhoyaronno, a Bangladeshi animal welfare foundation, the cat was initially sold for 40,000 Bangladeshi Taka.
