In a disturbing case of betrayal, 72-year-old Gisele Pelicot testified in court against her husband, Dominique Pelicot, accusing him of drugging her and arranging for strangers from the internet to rape her. According to reports, one of these attackers was HIV positive and sexually assaulted Gisele more than six times, heightening the gravity of the abuse.

During the court proceedings, Gisele gave a harrowing statement, saying, "My life was in danger, but not one second did anyone stop. Lucky I didn't catch it. But not once did Mr Pélicot say to himself, 'I've gone too far'. He showed no pity, no pity at all."

Gisele recounted suffering memory loss in 2011 and 2013, initially suspecting that she might have Alzheimer's. She shared that, in a casual conversation, she once jokingly asked Dominique if he was drugging her. Dominique allegedly broke down in tears and responded, “You actually think I could do that?”

Despite accompanying her to a doctor’s visit, where she expressed her concerns about memory loss, the doctor suggested that she might have experienced a brain seizure. Little did Gisele know, her husband was allegedly orchestrating a series of horrific assaults from 2011 onward.

The couple, who met in 1971 and married two years later, faced a tragic turning point when Dominique was arrested in 2020 for secretly filming under three women’s skirts. Upon investigation, police discovered hundreds of images and videos of Gisele in an unconscious state, with multiple rapes clearly depicted in the footage.

Further investigation led authorities to uncover a website where Dominique allegedly invited strangers to his home to have sex with his wife. The website has since been taken down, and the trial continues to unfold, leaving Gisele seeking justice for years of unimaginable abuse.
