The technical glitch with the United States cyber security firm CrowdStrike that caused global IT outage impacted Microsoft software worldwide on Friday. The outage not only affected businesses but also impacted airlines, trading and television networks across the globe, with computers restarting alerts with blue screen error messages.

Trump's Charges

Donald Trump's interest in CrowdStrike was a component of a broader campaign to disprove the claim that Russia influenced the 2016 election to support him. In one of the old clips, former United States President Donald Trump, during a call with Fox News, raised significant concerns about the handling of the DNC server and its connection to CrowdStrike. He stated, "Hillary Clinton paid for it and the Democrats, a lot of it had to do, they say, with Ukraine."

Trump reportedly told Zelenskyy in a 2019 transcript that was made public by the White House, "I would like you to find out what occurred with this whole mess with Ukraine, they say CrowdStrike. I assume you have one of your wealthy people here... The server, they say Ukraine has it.”

Trump suggested that the server, crucial to understanding the alleged corruption, was handed over to CrowdStrike, a company he described as being owned by a wealthy Ukrainian. He expressed frustration that the FBI never obtained the server, questioning, "Why did they give it to a Ukrainian company?"

He further emphasized the importance of investigating corruption before providing financial aid, remarking, "There's tremendous corruption. Why should we be giving hundreds of millions of dollars to countries when there's this kind of corruption?" His comments highlight a deep-seated concern about foreign interference and domestic transparency.
