As the United States is gearing up for the upcoming general elections in 2024, Ex-President Donald Trump might witness a backlash from the Republicans despite his improvements reports.

63% don’t want Donald Trump to run for office again

According to a new poll from the Associated Press- NORC Centre for Public Affairs Research, nearly 63 per cent of Republicans say they do not want Trump to run for office again.

Subsequently, this poll percentage seems to be slightly up from the previous 55 per cent who said the same in this year’s April when the former president began facing criminal charges against him.

The survey clearly indicates that while Donald Trump might receive a backlash from the Republicans, the 2024 general elections arena might appear a tough fight for him, with many Americans standing strongly against him.

The actual count!

Reportedly, almost 74 per cent of Americans, mostly Republicans, say they would support him in 2024, however, 53 per cent still are ‘not’ in support of him if he is the party’s nominee for the polls. Another 11% say they would probably not support him in November 2024.

Now, combing these two, the total percentages give a whopping 64 per cent of Americans who would not support/ vote for Trump next year.

Amid this, an internal conversation has erupted between the supporters and non-supporters of Donald Trump.

Netizens’ reaction to this survey

Now, as the survey is out and surfaced all over the internet. Netizens took it to their social media and reacted to this.

Back in 2016, Trump lost the upscaled and popular vote campaign, attaining the presidency by only winning a majority in the Electoral College.

But 2020 was a big bombshell to Trump as he lost to Democrat Joe Biden by an even larger margin of 7 million votes. He falsely attributes the defeat to widespread voter fraud.
