Tech mogul and X CTO Elon Musk responded to the recent comeback post made by former US President Donald J. Trump on the platform, in which the former president shared his mugshot.

Trump’s return to the social media platform was marked by his first post since being reinstated in November of the previous year. In his X post, Trump shared a mugshot of himself taken during his booking at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia, accompanied by the words, “ELECTION INTERFERENCE! NEVER SURRENDER!”

Elon Musk, in reaction to Trump’s post, replied, “Next level.”

Another tweet, which said, “It’s kind of stupid how good he is at branding,” got the approval of Musk, who replied, “True”.

Donald Trump surrenders in election fraud case, maintains innocence

Trump began his second campaign for the presidency on November 15, during which he made the choice to forego participation in the Republican primary debate on Fox News. Instead, he opted for an interview with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, which was streamed on X and notably shared by Musk himself. This 46-minute dialogue has amassed an impressive view count of over 250 million on the platform.

As the viewership of the Trump interview exceeded the milestone of 100 million on X, Musk expressed his awe, saying, “The reach of this platform is insane.” Responding to a comment, he also made a prediction that the video might eventually garner over 1 billion views on the platform.

Amidst a case related to charges of election fraud and conspiracy, Trump – who said that he is ‘innocent’ – turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta on Thursday. Following a brief stay of less than 30 minutes, during which he was then transported by motorcade to the airport, Trump firmly asserted, “We have every single right to challenge an election that we think is dishonest.”
