However, his new post on social media has left the internet talking as Trump confirmed that he will skip this weeks first Republican presidential debate, arguing that Americans know him well so theres no need for a public showdown with his rivals for the White House. His latest remarks made it clear that Donald Trump is ready to fight in the presidential polls next year.Donald Trump will not participate in presidential debateIn a message on his platform Truth Social, the Ex-President touted what he called a hugely successful record as president and what he described as his popularity among Americans.“I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!” Trump said.According to the media reports, the first debate in the race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination is scheduled for August 23 (Wednesday) in Wisconsins Milwaukee.Donald Trump in his post also noted that the latest in a wave of polls showing him so far ahead of the Republican field.What survey saysAs per a survey, nearly 74 per cent of those polled to vote for him even though he has been indicated four times this year, including serious charges like he tried to subvert US democracy by scheming to overturn the 2020 election and stay in power despite his loss to Joe Biden.However, 53 per cent still are not in support of him if he is the partys nominee for the polls. Another 11% say they would probably not support him in November 2024. A total of 64 per cent of Americans would not vote for Trump next year.This survey has also created an internal conversation between the Republicans.According to CBC polls, Trumps closest contender was Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at 16 per cent.
