New Delhi: A video has been circulating on social media recently, claiming that the Islamic State (ISIS) has declared war against the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas. This video has caused quite a stir online that the video might be a hoax or generated using Artificial Intelligence.

What's in video?

In the video, a man, allegedly an ISIS member, is heard speaking in the background. In the video, he claimed, "ISIS group in Sinai is attacking Hamas and incites against it." The speaker continues, noting the harsh tone used in the statement against Hamas. The video also alleges that ISIS sentenced to death one of its members who was accused of providing military support to Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.

Furthermore, he claimed that ISIS has targeted all military leaders of Hamas since its inception, including Sheikh Ahmed Ismail Hassan Yassin, the founder of the Palestinian resistance movement. The video concludes with a statement declaring, "It is a clear atonement for Hamas and a declaration of war."

Are these claims true?

Despite the video's widespread circulation on social media, it has not been reported by any credible news sources or shared by ISIS-controlled media channels. This absence of verification has led many to question the video's authenticity.

Moreover, a user on microblogging platform X posted a screenshot from YouTube stating that the video dates back to 2018, when the "Sinai branch of ISIS declared war on Hamas."

As of now, there has been no official statement from ISIS declaring war on Hamas. The claims in the video remain unverified, and the lack of coverage by trusted media sources further casts doubt on its authenticity.
