South Korea Wildfires: At least 16 people were killed and 19 injured in forest fires amid dry weather and strong winds in southern South Korea, government officials said on Wednesday. Authorities in Andong and other southern cities and towns on Tuesday ordered local residents to move to safer places. On the other hand, firefighters are struggling to control the fire caused by dry winds. 

Many People asked to leave

These areas were the worst affected by the fire. Korea Heritage Service officials said the fire in Uiseong reduced the seventh century Buddhist monastery Goeunsa to ashes.
