The primary objective of these interactions was to secure financial assistance for Ukraine and redirect global attention to the conflict unfolding at Europe's doorstep.
In an introduction, Dimon greeted Zelenskyy with warmth, saying, "I'm Jamie Dimon from JPMorgan Chase. God bless you." This marked Zelenskyy's first appearance at the World Economic Forum since the Russian invasion, having last attended in 2020.
Addressing a gathering at Davos, Zelenskyy emphasised the importance of boosting investments in Ukraine to support its economy. He highlighted the "special potential" of military production, expressing interest in collaboration with Western defense companies.
Leaders such as Philipp Hildebrand of BlackRock, David Rubenstein, co-founder of Carlyle Group Inc and Lakshmi Mittal, Chairman of Arcelormittal, one of Ukraine's significant international investors, were also part of the discussions.

Urgency surrounds Ukraine's financial needs, prompting the government to request an emergency meeting with international donors.
In addition to financial engagements, Zelenskyy met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Bank of America Corp CEO Brian Moynihan and US Senator Chris Coons. The discussions unfolded amid softened global support for Ukraine's war, with Kyiv's counteroffensive against Russian forces facing challenges.
As part of his Davos agenda, Zelenskyy held talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, with US officials urging Kyiv to refine its war plans against Russia. Furthermore, discussions with Polish President Andrzej Duda aimed to address the strains caused by a dispute over grains in the previous year, while Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk pledged to rally support for Ukraine among allies.
