Davos 2024: World leaders, tech titans, and climate conundrums at WEF

Davos 2024: The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2024 will kickstart on Monday. Over 2,800 leaders from politics, business, and beyond will converge on this Switzerland's Davos to grapple with the world's most pressing issues in a five-day event.  

Head of states to join hot topics

Over 60 heads of state and government, including China's Li Qiang, France's Emmanuel Macron, and India's ministerial troika of Smriti Irani, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Hardeep Singh Puri, will participate in the discussions. The heavyweights like UN chief António Guterres, IMF head Kristalina Georgieva, and World Bank President Ajay Banga, will also express their perspectives.

Climate woes and conflict clouds

The agenda of the event is to tackle climate change and navigate the ethical minefield of artificial intelligence to resolve global economic anxieties and address ongoing conflicts like the Ukraine War and the Israel-Hamas tensions.

India's strong representation

India's presence at WEF 2024 will be formidable as Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde, Revanth Reddy, and Siddaramaiah join the fray. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das and state ministers from Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana will also add their voices to the global dialogue.

Corporate champions to participate

A galaxy of Indian business leaders like Gautam Adani, Sanjiv Bajaj, Kumar Mangalam Birla, N Chandrasekaran, Nadir Godrej, Sajjan Jindal, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Nandan Nilekani, Rishad Premji, and Sumant Sinha will also bring their entrepreneurial awareness to the table.
