Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is currently in the headlines for his allegation of India‘s involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, seems to be losing his popularity among voters, according to a new Ipsos poll done for Canada-based news platform Global News.

Meanwhile, Pierre Poilievre, the Opposition Conservative Party leader is the preferred choice as Prime Minister by 40% of Canadian citizens, as incumbent Justin Trudeau lags behind.

The gap between Poilievre leaders indicates that Conservatives have high chances of getting a majority to form the government in the next elections in 2025, according to reports.

On the other hand, the number of respondents who think that PM Justin Trudeau is the right choice remains static at 31% in the poll.

The sources, also claim that Canadians think Poilievre has the best plans for the economy, healthcare and housing.

Notably, on the ongoing diplomatic stand-off between India and Canada triggered by Justin Trudeau’s allegations of India’s involvement in the killing of the wanted Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Meanwhile, Poilievre responding to this, stated that the Canadian PM Trudeau should come out “clean with all the facts”.
