A 25-year-old Indian student from Hyderabad passed away from cardiac arrest in Canada on Friday.

The student, identified as Shaik Muzammil Ahmed, was pursuing his Master's in IT from Conestoga College in Ontario, according to Amjad Ullah Khan, a leader of the Telangana-based political party Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT).

Shaik Muzammil Ahmed's family has reached out to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, seeking assistance to repatriate his mortal remains back to India. Ahmed's uncle penned a letter to Jaishankar, expressing the family's shock and requesting the High Commission of India in Ottawa and the Consulate General of India in Toronto to facilitate the swift return of his body to Hyderabad.

According to MBT leader Amjad Ullah Khan, the 25-year-old student had been experiencing fever for the past week. However, on Friday, Ahmed's family was informed of his sudden demise due to cardiac arrest by one of his friends.
The MBT leader shared this information on social media, tagging Jaishankar and providing details about Shaik Muzammil Ahmed's academic pursuits and the circumstances surrounding his passing.

This unfortunate incident adds to recent concerns regarding the safety and well-being of Indian students abroad, as highlighted by another incident involving an Indian student named Syed Mazahir Ali, who was subjected to a brutal attack in Chicago last week.
