The posters in question called for Canada to investigate Indias alleged role in the death of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was shot dead on June 18 outside a gurudwara.Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was designated a terrorist by India, headed both the Khalistan Tiger Force and the Canadian arm of Sikhs For Justice (SFJ).This incident marks the fourth case of temple vandalism in Canada this year alone. Earlier in the year, a Swaminarayan temple in Ontario, the Ram Mandir in Mississauga, and a temple in Brampton were all targeted. Last month, posters labelling senior Indian diplomats as killers emerged in Canada, prompting External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to call on partner countries, including Canada, the UK, and the US, to resist providing platforms for extremist Khalistani ideology.In response to allegations of being soft on Khalistani supporters, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau highlighted the Canadian governments commitment to combating violence and terrorism. “They [India] are wrong. Canada has always taken extremely seriously violence and threats of violence. We have always taken serious action against terrorism, and we always will,” Trudeau had said.
