A disturbing incident occurred onboard a Thai Airways flight from Bangkok to London Heathrow earlier this month, resulting in the arrest of a British man upon landing.
According to eyewitness reports, the situation began when a 35-year-old male passenger started causing a disturbance in the aeroplane's lavatory. His erratic behaviour then escalated, leading flight attendants and fellow passengers to attempt to intervene.
It was at this point, while shirtless and seemingly in an agitated state, that the man violently lashed out, punching a flight attendant and knocking him to the floor.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a female passenger told reporters she witnessed an older gentleman in a white t-shirt try to remove the disruptive man from the area when a fight broke out. It was during this altercation that the flight attendant was hit, with the eyewitness believing the crew member's nose was broken.

Upon arrival at Heathrow, Metropolitan Police officers boarded the aircraft and placed the 35-year-old under arrest on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and endangering an aircraft. He remains in police custody at this time.
The assaulted flight attendant was transported to hospital for treatment, with authorities stating his condition was assessed as non-life threatening.
Thai Airways has yet to comment publicly on the disturbance, which occurred on 7 February. Police enquiries are said to be ongoing into the violent mid-air clash.
