In a disturbing incident, the Sri Sri Gopinath Temple in the Botrish area of Kishoreganj district was targeted by attackers early on Thursday. According to reports, Islamists vandalized the temple, breaking multiple Murtis (idols) of Hindu deities, including Durga, Laxmi, Saraswati, and Ganesh.

According to the information surfaced on social media, the attack took place in the early hours of the morning when the temple was largely unguarded. Local Hindus, alerted by the noise, rushed to the scene in an attempt to protect the Murtis. However, their efforts were in vain, as the attackers managed to escape before they could be apprehended.
