The National Center for Seismology (NCS) says the earthquake of magnitude 6.2 on the Richter Scale jolted Afghanistan at 09:06:03 IST on Sunday.The earthquake was followed by three major aftershocks with magnitude of 5.4, 4.3, and 4.2 on the Richter Scale on IST 09:26:34, 11:11:42, and 11:40:02, respectively.Notably, this is the third major earthquake to strike Afghanistan in quick succession.
