In an interview with an Indian news channel Anju Thomas, who recently went to Pakistan expressed her desire to come back to India and how she misses her kids. Her visa was expiring on August 20 and will now have to stay in Pakistan for a year.She also stressed on her relationship with Pakistans Intelligence Agency ISI in this interview and explained why she accepted Islam. Moreover, explanations were also presented on why the cake was cut on Pakistans Independence Day.Anju does not feel well in Pakistan, misses her kidsAnju says that while she was in India she was the best girl in her family but all changed after coming to Pakistan and she became the worst. She says she misses her kids and wants to come back to India but the media pressure, defamation, and opposition of the family restricts her.Anju said in the interview that she does not feel well in Pakistan at all. Due to media pressure and her being in Pakistan, she is also not able to talk to her children. She is also heartbroken that her daughter stopped talking to her.Anju and Arvinds relationshipHighlighting her relationship with her husband Arvind, Anju says in the interview that their relationship has deteriorated a lot. She further says that Arvind is adamant in not sending their children to Pakistan which made her very upset with him.Anju and Arvind were married for around six years and she says that there was a problem in their marriage from the very beginning. She has been declared as a traitor by her husband however, Anju says that since they are divorced, Arvind will have to bear the expenses.Acceptance of Islam and her relation to ISIAnju says that she accepted Islam on her terms and there was no pressure from her fiance Nusrullahs side. After converting she is now called Fatima in place of her earlier name Anju Thomas. I have taken this decision of my own free will because I have to stay with Nasrullah. In such a situation, if not today then tomorrow it had to be done.”She also told the interviewer that both Nasrullah and her are just engaged, not married, and are living in different houses.Moreover commenting on her celebrating Pakistans independence day on August 13 by cutting a cake she said that the cake was cut to welcome her in Islamabad and had her name written on it. According to Anju, she is also from Pakistan and if she cuts the cake on August 14, then there is nothing wrong with it. Anju said that she has not committed any betrayal of the country. Along with this, she has come to Pakistan through the legal process.
