New Delhi: On Saturday, Kira Yarmysh, the spokeswoman for Alexei Navalny, confirmed the tragic news of his death, referencing an official notice received by Navalny's mother, Lydumila. Yarmysh took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to demand the immediate release of Navalny's body to his family.

In a tweet, Navalny's spokesperson asserted, "Alexey Navalny was murdered. His death occurred on February 16 at 2:17 p.m. local time, according to the official message to Alexey’s mother." She further disclosed that Navalny's body was reportedly in Salekhard, picked up by investigators from the IC, who are currently conducting investigations.
