Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni extended her birthday greetings to her counterpart and friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 73rd birthday. She shared a special message on her social media handle ‘X’ calling Modi a dear friend on Sunday.

In her post, she addressed Modi as a dear friend committed to shaping the future.

She said “Happy Birthday Wishes @narendramodi. A friend committed to building the future and proud of the history of a great nation close to Italy.”

Modi is celebrating his b73rd birthday on Sunday and a wave of wishes is being showered on the internet. Many politicians and celebrities conveyed their birthday greetings to the PM.

Dalai Lama wishes Modi

The 14th Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of the Tibetan community also extended his birthday wishes to Prime Minister Modi. He wished the Prime Minister continued good health and success in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people of India.

The Dalai Lama wrote a letter to the PM with the contents that wished him “continued good health and success in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people of this great country, and in contributing to the creation of a more compassionate, peaceful world.”

Earlier in the day, President Droupadi Murmu, Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also wished PM Modi on his birthday.

PM Modi also inaugurated the YashoBhoomi convention centre and the extension of the Delhi Metro earlier in the day.
