Pakistan is building infrastructure in this area with the help of China, against which Baloch fighters are constantly attacking. BLA has threatened China several times not to carry out its projects in this area and has also carried out several attacks on Chinese citizens.

How much power does BLA have?

BLA was established in 2000, at that time its military strength was said to be around 6 thousand fighters. However, over time the number of its members has declined. Majeed Brigade is a special suicide squad group of BLA, which is said to include about 100-150 suicide bombers.

The total military strength of BLA can be estimated from the data of Stanford University. If the data is to be believed, BLA currently has 1,000-1,500 fighters. Some new reports say that the number of BLA fighters has come down to just around 600.
