Another earthquake of magnitude 4.1 struck Afghanistan in the wee hours of Tuesday, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

4.1 magnitude earthquake jolts Afghanistan

As per NCS, the earthquake occurred today at 00:03:14 IST and was reported at a depth of 73 km.

Taking it to X, the NCS wrote, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.1, Occurred on 21-11-2023, 00:03:14 IST, Lat: 35.07 & Long: 63.38, Depth: 73 km, Location: Afghanistan."

However, no injuries or causalities have been reported in this quake.

Afghanistan prone to earthquakes

Notably, Afghanistan is located in a seismically active region and experiences frequent earthquakes.

Last month, a series of earthquakes in western Afghanistan killed more than 2,500 people and thousands were injured and displaced amid this severe devastation in the country due to the earthquake.
