One of the prominent leaders of the Pakistan terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Mufti Qiaser Farooq was gunned down by ‘unknown men’ in Karachi city, said Pakistani media reports.
Notably, Qaiser Farooq was one of the closest aides of Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind behind the horrific 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
As per Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper, quoting police sources, the 30-year-old LeT leader was shot and suffered bullet wounds in the back in a ‘targeted attack’ near a religious institution in the Samanabad area on Saturday.
He was immediately shifted to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during the treatment.
Several CCTV footage claimed to be of the killing of the LeT terrorist, has now been circulated all over the internet. However, the media still could not verify the video’s authenticity so far.
During the firing, a 10-year-old boy was also injured.
